‘Cobra’ Kerala Box Office collection Day 1: Vikram starrer mints Rs 1.60 crores on its opening day – Times of India
According to the Twitter forums that track box office collection reports, the Vikram starrer ‘Cobra’ has managed to rake in Rs 1.60 at the Kerala box office on its starting day making it reportedly the third highest Tamil opening in the grounds of Kerala.

According to the reports, ‘Cobra’ stands third in being the highest opening grosser which is behind the Vijay starrer ‘Beast’ and Kamal Haasan’s action entertainer ‘Vikram’. Reportedly, Vijay’s ‘Beast’ grossed around Rs 6.6 crores on its opening day at the Kerala box office and ‘Vikram’ managed to earn Rs 5.02 crores on its opening day.
Vikram’s ‘Cobra’ hit the big screens on August 31 and several audiences were not fully satisfied with the film. The makers even took a decision to trim 20 minutes from the movie as there were several complaints raised regarding the long duration of the movie.
Helmed by the Tamil director R Ajay Gnanamuthu, ‘Cobra’s script was written by the writers Neelan K Sekar, Kanna Sreevasthan, Azaruddin Alauddin, Innasi Pandiyan, and Bharat Krishnamachari.
Apart from Vikram, ‘Cobra’ boasted a strong cast that even included some of the talents from the Malayalam film industry such as Roshan Mathew, Mamukkoya, Miya George, and Sarjano Khalid. Other cats in the movie included KS Ravikumar, Irfan Pathan, Mirnalini Ravi, and John Vijay.
