Christian Pulisic dons a signed Patrick Mahomes jersey as the Chelsea man signs autographs for fans
USA star Christian Pulisic dons a signed Patrick Mahomes jersey as the Chelsea man signs autographs for fans – but was it part of a losing bet with his teammate Reece James after Chiefs beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl?
Pennsylvania native and Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic was spotted wearing a signed Kansas City Chiefs jersey in the hours after the Philadelphia Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII.
Pulisic was signing autographs for fans when he was photographed by fellow Chelsea man Reece James wearing a Patrick Mahomes jersey.
James posted that image to his Instagram story with the caption ‘Great start to my Monday’ – leading many to suggest that this was a lost bet.
But Pulisic reposted that story on his own feed, tagging Mahomes and adding an emoji of a goat.
Pulisic is a fan of the New York Jets, but has been seen photographed in an Eagles jersey before.

This is not the first time that Pulisic and Mahomes have interacted with each other over social media.
Back during the World Cup, when Pulisic was in the hospital after an abdominal injury, Mahomes shouted him out with some goat emojis as well.
Pulisic is currently sidelined at Chelsea, suffering from a knee injury he picked up back at the beginning of 2023.
So far, Pulisic has missed seven matches for the Blues and there is no timetable for the winger to return to the team. He has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for a number of months.
