Chile fan Jhovan Kesternich travelled from his homeland to watch Blackburn Rovers against Millwall on Saturday, only find out Brereton was injured and the game was eventually called off.
Kesternich along with four others made the 7,414 mile trip from Chile’s capital Santiago to Lancashire, only to arrive at Ewood Park and find out the match was postponed due to blizzards caused by Storm Eunice.
Despite not being able to watch the Rovers forward in action, Brereton sent a message on the clubs official Twitter account to the avid fan.

Brereton was taken off in the 0-0 draw against West Bromwich Albion with a twisted ankle
‘Hi Jhovan, I heard you have flown over for the game this Saturday, but unfortunately I can’t play, but hopefully I will see you at the game, and I will be back fit soon, all the best pal’, said Brereton.
Having been called up to the Chile squad in June last year, Brereton has since become a fan favourite, netting three times in nine appearances for the South American nation.
He was eligible for La Roja after being discovered by a researcher who noticed him on Football Manager.
The 22-year-old striker has since been selected on the bench for two World Cup qualifiers, before playing a starring role in the Copa America.
His rise to stardom has seen Brereton become a national hero in Chile, as well as becoming the face of drinks brand Pepsi in the country.

The Stoke-on-Trent-born forward is continuing to fire on all fronts for his club and country
But it is not just his international form that has caught the eye of Chile fans, but his goal scoring record in the Championship.
Brereton has netted 20 times in 30 appearances for Blackburn this season and is continuing to impress.
Leeds, Southampton and West Ham have previously been keen on his services as have other teams such as LaLiga side Sevilla.
If he continues to find the net on a regular basis and star for both club and country, then he could soon be plying his trade in the Premier League or in the Spanish top flight.
