Chris Lammons, a 26-year-old cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, turned himself in to the authorities Thursday, according to a TMZ report.
The Kansas City Chiefs received some less-than-stellar news when it came out that cornerback Chris Lammons has reportedly turned himself in to law enforcement officers.
According to a report from TMZ, Lammons has apparently turned himself in to the authorities due to an alleged connection to the incident allegedly involving New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara.
In the report, TMZ notes Kamara and Lammons were not the only men allegedly involved in “[beating] up a man outside a Las Vegas club on February 6.” According to TMZ, two other men were allegedly involved and have been charged in connection to the incident.

Following Kamara’s arrest, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department shared a statement on Twitter that claimed an investigation revealed Kamara was identified as a suspect who battered the victim.
According to TMZ’s report, Lammons was booked on a charge of battery resulting in serious bodily harm. As TMZ notes, if convicted, that is a felony that “carries up to a 5-year prison sentence.” TMZ reported that Lammons posted bail shortly after turning himself in.
It remains to be seen as to how this situation will unfold with Lammons, Kamara, and the two other men who are facing charges.
