Chelsea’s new £18m signing Andrey Santos scores AGAIN at the South American U20 Championship

New Chelsea signing Andrey Santos scored yet again to keep up his incredible record at the South American U20 Championship to leave Blues fans even more excited about the future.

The big-spending Blues completed the £18million signing of the Brazilian wonderkid on January 6.

Santos, who was Graham Potter’s third signing out of eight in January, racked up his fifth goal in as many games for the Brazil Under 20 side, which he captains.

Although Brazil were already 2-0 up against Venezuela Under 20s heading into stoppage time, Santos was determined to keep up his red-hot form and got on the end of a loose clearance to fire home past Benitez-Gutierrez in goal. 

The well-taken finish came from a long throw which Venuzeula failed to deal with. And after a flicked on header and a poor touch from the defender, Santos was quickest to latch on and find the back of the net.

Santos has been in sensational form, scoring in every single one of Brazil’s matches he has played so far so far.

The 18-year-old has scored against Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador and now Venezuela. He was rested for the Paraguay match. 

Chelsea fans were quick to flock to social media, with one user saying: ‘Another goal for Andrey Santos! We’ve hit the jackpot here, haven’t we?

While another added: ‘Another monstrous performance yesterday from Andrey Santos.’ 

Potter will be delighted with the youngster’s form ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge.

And after Chelsea sold midfielder Jorginho to Arsenal, it perhaps indicates a first-team tole for Santos.

He will however face fierce competition from a heavily bloated Chelsea squad, with the Blues spending a phenomenal £323.5m in January.
