Charles Barkley is often a source of entertainment and Tuesday night was no exception.
The former NBA MVP-turned-comedic genius analyst caused laughter throughout homes across the nation and in the Inside the NBA studios in Atlanta, GA. while discussing Boston Celtics star, Jayson Tatum.
Except he wasn’t at all.
‘The MVP in the league right now – no disrespect to Luka, AD (Anthony Davis) – that boy in Boston right now, he kicking ass and taking names. His name is Jayson Taylor,’ Barkley said.

Jayson Tatum has been in sensational form for the Eastern Conference leading Boston Celtics
The former 76er, Sun and Rocket stuttered before correcting himself, much to the amusement of jawing partner Shaquille O’Neal, host Ernie Johnson and fellow panelist, Kenny Smith.
‘That was an almost perfect delivery up until his name,’ Johnson said among the chortling from O’Neal and Smith.
Barkley was of course not referring to former Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor and his error rather overshadowed his praise for Tatum, which is more than justified.
Tatum has 30.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor and has led the Celtics to a league-best 20-5 record.
Tatum is on track for league MVP with 30.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game
It was another eventful night on the treasured TNT broadcast with O’Neal also playing the role of a joker, jumping face first into the on-set Christmas tree as part of a dare.
That was surprisingly the second time O’Neal had acquainted himself with the tree Tuesday night as Smith launched O’Neal into a Christmas tree during the halftime break of the Cleveland Cavaliers win over the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers.
The win takes the Cavs to 11-1 at home and their seventh straight win in The Land.
LeBron James had his third loss as an opposing player in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
The Lakers dropped to 10-13 while the Cavs hold an impressive 16-9 record.
