Chargesheet filed against Brij Bhushan, Delhi Police recommends cancellation of POCSO case-Sports News , Firstpost
The Delhi Police on Wednesday filed the chargesheet against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment, and stalking, reported news agency PTI.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that the Police have filed a cancellation report in the POCSO Act case against Brij Bhushan. The case was based on the allegations made by a minor wrestler’s father who has since recorded a fresh statement later withdrawing the sexual assault charges.
The Patiala House Court in Delhi has fixed 4 July as the next date of hearing.

Earlier while speaking to Hindustan Times, the minor wrestler’s father had said that he filed a false case against the WFI chief because her daughter lost in the 2022 Under-17 Asian Championship trial.
As per reports, in the remaining six wrestlers’ cases, the Delhi Police have filed the chargesheet against the WFI head under Sections 354 (outraging the modesty of women), 354-A (sexual harassment) and 354-D (stalking).
Vinod Tomar, WFI office bearer, has been charged under Sections 354, 354(A), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 109 (abetment).
