CELTIC forward Kyogo Furuhashi admits he is loving life in Glasgow as he revealed his determination to repay the support shown by fans.
The 26-year-old Japan internationalist arrived in Glasgow this summer from Vissel Kobe in his homeland and has made a remarkable impact, scoring 14 goals.
The striker – who has quickly become a fan favourite in the city’s east end – says he is feeling settled and happy at Parkhead.
And Kyogo promised supporters that there is more to come as he thanked them for welcoming him with open arms.
“I have settled well, and got used to Glasgow, and I am loving the football here,” he told Celtic TV.
“I am happy and honoured to be able to play in front of all the supporters here.
“Being able to play my style of football and seeing the reaction and excitement of the fans have given me so much motivation, and I am enjoying playing here.
“It’s nice to know I am accepted a little, but at the same time, I am not satisfied with my play yet.
“I want to play better and contribute towards bringing more joy to fans.”
Kyogo added that there is nothing quite like celebrating a goal at Parkhead as the striker revealed his goal target for the season.
“When anyone scores, the whole stadium goes wild at once,” he added.
“When it comes to goals, every goal was special for me. Thanks to everyone’s effort and support, I can score goals.
“So, if I can make everyone happy by scoring, then I am truly happy too.
“Personally I want to score at least 20 goals. I have been missing opportunities a lot, I want to score goals to support the team.
“I also want to be more aggressive when it comes to defending to support the players at the back.”
