Celina Jaitly reveals she was forced to leave Aksar by producers for signing Jawani Diwani with Emraan Hashmi: It was very disheartening – Times of India

Celina Jaitly never minces her words when it comes to speaking her mind. On Thursday, the actress confirmed that she was forced to leave the 2006 film Aksar by the producers as she had signed another film Jawani Diwani with her same co-star Emraan Hashmi in the same year.
A Twitter user shared a throwback picture of Celina and Tara Sharma from the sets of Aksar and spoke about how it did not make it to the final cut. The still showed Celina and Tara posing in front of a shattered mirror wearing red and blue tops with an intense look on their faces.

Acknowledging facts in the said tweet, Celina replied, “Yes, I was forced to leave #aksar by its producers as they were not happy about the fact that I was doing another film #jawanidiwani simultaneously with same costar @emraanhashmi. I was very disappointed as the way the situation was handled by the producers was very disheartening.”

Several netizens poured in support for Celina and expressed their displeasure over the unprofessional behaviour by the producers. “That’s a terrible thing to do. Would have cost you much momentum in your career. Not speak of the time waste. Heartbreaking to see hard work being punished,” one Twitter user commented.

Another Twitter user wrote, “Very unprofessional that they handled it that way. But it’s their loss to exclude YOU.” Followed by another one who said, “Their loss… karma usually sorts these situations out in the long run.”

Aksar featured Emraan, Udita, Dino Morea and Tara Sharma. The movie had a hit song Jhalak Dikhlaja by Himesh Reshammiya. On the other hand, Jawani Diwani featured Celina along with Emraan, Tiku Talsania, Hrishitaa Bhatt, Mahesh Manjrekar and Sherlyn Chopra.
