CBFC asks ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ makers to remove the words ‘ghapa ghap’, which were allowed in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha‘ has hit the screens today and the early reviews of the film are very good. While this love story has got a UA certificate from the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC), a few changes and cuts were suggested to the film.
The CBFC has asked some words to be removed from the film and there are total seven changes in the final version which has released. The censor board has asked the word ‘Cheliyaan’ to be removed from the song ‘Gujju Pataka’ and the lyrics now go as ‘Radhe Ki Saheliyaan’. The words ‘ghapa ghap’ have been muted from the dialogue ‘Uske pehle toh dono ghapa ghap’. Howoever, the same words were made famous by theRanbir Kapoor starrer ‘Sanju’. In the film, Vicky Kaushal’s character utters the same phrase and it was a slang for sex.
What’s surprising is that the CBFC allowed the use of those words for ‘Sanju’ and asked them to be muted in case of ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’.
The word ‘dirty mind’ has also been muted in the film. These have been some of the changes suggested by the CBFC and only once these changes were made, the certificate was granted to ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’. As the film released today, those who’ve seen it on Day 1 have already got great things to say about this love story. Kartik and Kiara are also getting rave reviews for their performances and people are calling it their ‘best’ so far.
‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ also stars Gajraj Rao, Supriya Pathak, Shikha Talsania among others. The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans.
