‘Captain cool’ MS Dhoni celebrates 41st birthday | Cricket News – Times of India
The long-haired boy from Ranchi went on to become one of India’s most successful captains, earning the tag of ‘Captain Cool’ for staying calm even in the most trying and challenging circumstances.
He made his debut in 2004 and after becoming India’s captain, Dhoni went on to win the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. He also collected the ICC Test mace after taking India to the top of the Test rankings. He is still the only skipper to win all ICC trophies.
But the winning six off his bat, which signaled India’s 2011 World Cup win in the final against Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, is revered the most by the fans of Indian cricket.
