Can you spot the incredible error in Bulldogs star Shane Biggs’ Instagram post? Premiership-winning defender makes unbelievable mistake in shot with teammates

  • Bulldogs star Shane Biggs makes blunder
  • Biggs says Dogs won premiership in 2014
  • Bulldogs won the comp in 2016

Western Bulldogs premiership defender Shane Biggs has shared a photo of himself and some ex-teammates to social media – and made a terrific blunder with the caption.

‘Biggsy’, who called time on his career after 63 games over six seasons for the Dogs and Sydney, took to Instagram over the weekend to post a photo of himself, Clay Smith, Tom Boyd and comedian Danny McGinlay.

Alongside the photo, the 31-year-old wrote, ‘Go dogs. Still talking about 2014’.

Of course, Biggs has seemingly forgotten that he was playing for Sydney in 2014 – and didn’t win the premiership with the Bulldogs until 2016.

‘Great year that 2014,’ a sarcastic Clay Smith wrote in the comments.

Biggs was quick to correct himself in the comments.

The former premiership winner may have retired from the AFL, but it was recently announced that he had signed for the Boort country footy team in Victoria’s north-west.

Biggs hasn’t played footy since 2019 after injuring his hip, but will be a welcome addition to the North Central Football League side.

‘Shane comes to us through a couple of ex-local guys that are coming back to Boort to play,’ Boort president Kane Arnold told the Herald.

‘A couple of his ex-teammates from North Heidelberg.’

The small town is located around 100km from Swan Hill and has a population of under 900.

The signing is a huge boost to the team, which hasn’t played finals footy for six years in the NCFL.

‘If we can build our team around our key position players being one point players obviously makes it easier with recruiting and getting quality players like Shane with points up our sleeve,’ said Arnold.

‘We want to be more competitive and bring some more spirit into the club and get the vibe going at the club again.’

Boort kicks off its season on April 15 against the Sea Lake-Nandaly Tigers.
