Stroud’s rookie deal will be a four-year fully guaranteed deal worth a total of $36.3 million. $23.38 million will come in the form of a signing bonus which will be paid up front in full.

Houston have now finalized the rookie contracts for both of their top two draft picks after reaching an agreement with No. 3 overall pick Will Anderson Jr. back in June.

Colts No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson also reached agreement on his rookie deal today
Stroud will now hope that he can bring the same levels of success to Houston that he displayed while he was playing for Ohio State.
While at OSU, he was a back-to-back Heisman Trophy finalist and recorded 8,123 yards, 85 touchdowns, 12 interceptions, and completed 69.3 percent of his passes during his two seasons as the starter.
Stroud was not the only high-profile rookie QB to reach a contract agreement as No. 4 overall pick Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts came to terms on a fully guaranteed four-year worth $34 million contract.
Heading into the draft Stroud had been considered as arguably the most accurate thrower of the ball out of this year’s QB class, while Richardson had been considered the rawest prospect who had the highest potential due to his athletic ability.
If both young signal callers open the season as the starter for their respective team’s under center, they will have their first chance to face off in Week 2 of the regular season on September 17.
