‘It’s a dream for me to be here and get the opportunity to play in the Premier League. I hope we can do great things this season and I’m really looking forward to it now.’

The newly-promoted outfit acted quickly to secure the services of the the 24-year-old after having their £9m bid for Nathan Tella rejected.

Tella, who scored 17 goals in 39 appearances for the Clarets last season, had been on-loan from then-Premier League side Southampton, who also had pursued a deal for Burnley’s new man.

The Saints are looking to bolster their attacking options following the departure of several wide men.

Theo Walcott, Mohamed Elyounoussi and Mislav Orsic have all left St Mary’s this summer following Southampton’s relegation creating space in their squad for reinforcements capable of playing out wide.
