The astonishing streak of success for this South Korean music group continues! BTS has just broken Instagram, Twitter and TikTok records, says Guinness World Records.
BTS’ supremacy over virtually every platform it straddles continues! The South Korean boy-band BTS is gaining constant fame with their immense popularity all around the world and now it has added a few more records to existing Guinness World Records. Of course, this is courtesy the dedicated BTS ARMY- their fans. The band has found immense success in the world of music with superhits like Dynamite, Butter, Fake Love, Fire, and more. BTS band members have also looked to give back to the world by becoming ambassadors for several global collaborations. Recently, battle royale game Garena Free Fire has announced a collaboration with BTS. The band is again in the news and this time it is because it has just logged three new social media records.
BTS new world records
Most followers on Instagram for a music group
With 60.5 million followers on Instagram, it has become the Most-followed music group on Instagram. With this record, BTS has surpassed its own previous record set last April 2021.
Even in December 2021, V – the BTS member had secured two world records in just five hours – first for the fastest time to reach 1 million followers on Instagram in just 43 minutes, and second for reaching 10 million followers on Instagram in just 4 hours and 52 minutes.
Most followed music group on TikTok
Well, Instagram is not the end of their online popularity, it stretches to other portals too. BTS snatched another record for social media on the widely popular TikTok app. The Bangtan Boys has become the most-followed music group on TikTok with more than 45.7 million fans.
Most followed music group on Twitter
No matter which social media platform there is, the BTS ARMY doesn’t leave any chance to stay connected with the band. With 44.4 million followers, the BTS Twitter account broke the record of the most followers on Twitter for a music group in the history of the platform. Earlier, this title was with the British boyband One Direction, with the last record set at 3.1 million followers back in 2017. Well, the K-pop band managed to get a total number of 422,228 engagements on Twitter back on 29 April 2019 while gaining two new world records – Most Twitter engagements (average retweets) and Most Twitter engagements (average retweets) for a music group, which was earlier with the One Direction’s Harry Style.
Well, this is just the start of 2022 and there is a whole year ahead for the BTS band to break some more records!
