Sheldon Keefe may have lost some sleep over the Toronto Maple Leafs’ blockbuster trade on Friday night, but Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery sure didn’t.
On Saturday, Montgomery was asked if the Maple Leafs’ addition of Ryan O’Reilly made his team uncomfortable, to which he replied with an answer that showed supreme confidence in his squad.
“No, we’re really comfortable,” Montgomery told the Boston Globe’s Matt Porter. “I would still take our roster over anybody else’s.”

There’s a reason for that confidence, as the Bruins have a 41-8-5 record through 54 games – best in the NHL by seven points heading into Saturday’s action.
The Bruins looks to have a clear hold on the Atlantic Division title, as they are currently 13 points clear of the second-place Maple Leafs, and 14 points ahead of the third-place Tampa Bay Lightning. All roads look like they are leading to another first-round playoff series between Toronto and Tampa Bay.
Boston and Toronto play one more time this season on April 6, the fourth and final meeting between the two teams. The Bruins won two out of the three matchups earlier this season.
