Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski did not watch the HBO special featuring alleged victims of Deshaun Watson.

Watson is facing 22 civil counts of sexual assault and harassment. The details, thus far, have not been a good look for the Browns quarterback.

As noted in a previous article about week ago, Watson admitted to sending a text message to one accuser who claimed he touched her with the base of his penis, stating the following: “Sorry about you feeling uncomfortable…Never were the intentions. Lmk if you want to work in the future. My apologies.”

Watson stated that he sent an apology merely because the woman was teary-eyed, not because he felt as though he had done anything wrong.

Browns: Kevin Stefanski didn’t view Deshaun Watson HBO special

When asked about the interviews on HBO, Stefanski deflected, saying he had read something about the special but did not watch it.

“I read about it,” Stefanski said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “We did a lot of work on that. As we’ve talked about, we’ve done a lot of work on Deshaun the person. There’s legal proceedings ongoing, there’s an investigation ongoing so I won’t comment much further than that. We understand, with respect to that, it is something we’re going to be dealing with as these proceedings go on.”

Stefanski and Cleveland insist that they did their due diligence prior to trading for Watson. The new Browns quarterback faces punishment from the NFL after an independent investigation concludes.

We’ll have more on Watson and his civil case as it develops in the coming weeks.
