Britannia may name Domino’s Rajneet Kohli as its first standalone CEO
A formal announcement on the same is expected soon.
This is the first time the Nusli Wadia-led Britannia has created the post of a standalone chief executive. Berry’s role will now include looking after some businesses of the Wadia group, though exact details could not be ascertained, the executives quoted above said.
Britannia and JFL declined to comment on email queries by ET.
Kohli was unavailable for comment. He had joined JFL in mid-2018 from beverage maker Coca-Cola. Kohli’s will be the second exit from the top deck at JFL in recent months. The food services company’s chief executive, Pratik Pota, stepped down from his other role as a wholetime director in June, after putting in his papers in March.
Last month, JFL, which also operates Dunkin’ Donuts, Hong’s Kitchen and Popeyes, named Sameer Khetarpal its new chief executive and managing director. Khetarpal, who moved from ecommerce company Amazon, succeeds Pota.
T aiming for leadership position in categories like wafers and croissants, evaluating partnerships in dairy with restaurants, and will focus disproportionately on ecommerce, which it said grew 100% year-on-year.
