Headstrong Brisbane Broncos supporter holds off the efforts of FOUR security officers before finally being ejected from NRL match

  • Happened at Broncos v Panthers match
  • Man resisted security’s efforts to remove him
  • Police had to intervene

A Brisbane Broncos supporter had to be forcibly removed from Suncorp Stadium on Thursday night during the NRL match against the Penrith Panthers.

The determined fan did everything he could to remain in his chair, though, fighting off the efforts of four security guards before eventually relenting.

In the video, the man can be seen sitting beside a female Broncos supporter and calmly talking with a solo security guard.

It is unknown what the discussion was about, but the situation quickly escalated.

As the woman continued to finish her drink, another security guard along with stadium staff arrive on the scene and the man continues to furiously make his point using hand gestures.

The footage then cuts to the security guards and stadium staff trying to remove the man from his seat as he resists.

The woman is seen talking to the man as two more security offers arrive on the scene to help remove the agitated fan.

It is only when two Queensland Police Service officers arrive that the man stops resisting and is walked up the corridor and presumably out of the stadium.

Queensland Police confirmed that two men, a 24-year-old and 31-year-old, were issued move on directions last night at the NRL match.

The same 24-year-old man was then arrested and issued three infringement notices for public nuisance, contravene direction near licenced premises and obstruct police

The latest incident at a Broncos match comes following growing frustration among residents living near Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, locals voiced their complaints in May last year regarding the appalling behavior of rugby league fans.

Residents living in the inner-city suburb of Milton, particularly on Clifton Street where most fans exit after games, have had to deal with numerous issues after Broncos matches.

Residents reported witnessing public urination, sexual acts, and have been forced to clean vomit and faeces from their properties.

The situation escalated in the same month when a violent brawl erupted at Suncorp Stadium, leaving onlookers stunned.

Police intervened, evicting three individuals involved in the fight and issuing fines for disorderly conduct.
