‘Brahmastra’ sells record-breaking 6 lakh tickets in advance booking for National Cinema Day – Times of India ►
The admits for ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ at national chains are around 6 lakhs, earning the film around Rs 3.50 crore nett. The film is expected to earn a total of Rs 5.75 crore nett on its third Friday, reports Boxofficeindia. In its second week, ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ added Rs 50 crore to its total, which now stands at Rs 215 crore nett in all formats.
The makers have started working on it sequel which is titled ‘Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev’. Speaking about the sequel, director Ayan Mukerji had told PTI, “Love is the light’ was my line for the film. ‘Brahmastra: Part One’ used to be called ‘Love’ for the longest time because that was the theme of the film. “It is a love story and Shiva got his power from love. But ‘Part Two: Dev’ will be a darker and juicier story in terms of the dramatic conflict. The follow-ups will be darker for sure.” Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will reportedly return for the sequel.
