Boy cycles from Patiala to Delhi to meet favourite YouTuber, police send him back home
The schoolboy bunked his classes and cycled all the way to Delhi covering around 300 km to meet YouTuber Nischay Malhan aka Triggered Insaan, PTI reported police officials as saying.
The boy’s parents filed a complaint after he went “missing” on October 4. Three days later on Friday, police in Delhi traced him to a park in Pitam Pura, where Malhan’s house is located.
The boy had made that far from Patiala on a bicycle, but unfortunately for him Malhan was away in Dubai to attend a family function during the time.
Police in Delhi explained how he was traced in the case that was reported in Patiala. After the boy went missing, police circulated information about him on WhatsApp groups of all Resident Welfare Associations in the area.
Officials at the Maurya Enclave police station in Delhi received information about the boy and also that the YouTuber Nischay Malhan lives in Pitam Pura.
Malhan too had requested Delhi Police to find the boy. “This is serious, if anybody has any information, please contact the police or the undersigned. I’m not in Delhi and travelling in Dubai, without a network, will keep posted about this however much I can…. Please @DelhiPolice pls help,” Malhan said in a tweet on Friday.
“We came across a CCTV footage which showed him on a bicycle near Malhan’s house. A police team followed the route he had taken and found him at the district park in Pitam Pura. He was reunited with his family at around 5 pm today,” a police officer said.
After the police traced him in Delhi, the boy’s family traveled to Delhi to take him home. Without meeting his idol.
After the boy was found Malhan retweeted a tweet from a user which said, ” “A very genuine request to parents &children- pls don’t go out without an adult& meeting youtubers at their home is invading their privacy. We can see what just happened yesterday & today. Please don’t disappoint&worry your parents
& parents, pls don’t let them go alone this far.”
