Bottega’s Latest Zine Features Everyone From Kelsey Lu To Raheem Sterling
Also, photographer Joshua Gordon shot an intimate series of portraits featuring bright young queer personalities draped in new season Bottega (what else?). Longtime collaborator Tyrone Lebon shot the full lookbook—entitled Salon 02—featuring the likes of Freja Beha Erichsen, Anok Yai and Sora Choi modelling. Not forgetting designer Stefano Pilati looking spectacularly poised in a self-styled shoot by Davit Giorgadze.
There’s a wealth of artist collaborations, too
As always, Bottega Veneta continues to give a platform to a multitude of artistic talent. Both of the striking, neon-clad front and back covers of the digital journal are by Tokyo-based graphic designer Okuyama Taiki. London-based design duo Isabel Gibson and Helen Chesner (aka Isabel + Helen) created renditions of Lee’s adored Cassette and Pouch bags using their signature blow-up approach. Composer Midori Takada, a pioneer of minimalist music, was shot by Japanese photographer Takashi Homma during her performance in Bottega’s Tokyo flagship. Artist Erika Vogt created a series of sculptures that include some of the brand’s key footwear pieces, such as the Puddle boots. An homage to the brand’s Veneto roots can be found in a shoot featuring the Japanese-Italian artist Ritsue Mishima–best known for her unique Venetian glass art–outside her studio in Venice.
With a knack for tapping the hottest creative names of the moment, as well bringing undiscovered gems to the forefront of fashion, Daniel Lee has delivered, yet again, myriad moments with viral potential–no Instagram required.
