Boney Kapoor shares Sridevi’s rare pictures as a tribute to the star on her 5th death anniversary – Times of India
In a series of Instagram posts, Boney shared some happy throwback pictures that included his first picture with Sridevi and another one of her kissing his cheek. He also shared a clip of himself narrating his first meeting with Sridevi and how he convinced her mother to let her sign his film.
Author Dhiraj Kumar, who is penning the late actress’ biography titled, ‘The Life of a Legend’, took to his handle on Friday morning to pay homage in a post that read, “Remembering the megastar, the epitome of performance, beauty, dignity and grace Sridevi Kapoor on her 5th death anniversary.”
Boney announced last month that a biography on his late wife was in the works. The book is being penned by Kumar, who the actress considered as ‘family’.

“Dhiraj Kumar is who she considered family. He was a researcher, writer & columnist. We are happy that he is writing the book that befits her ex Filmmaker Boney Kapoor announced last month that a biography on his late wife was in the works. The book is being penned by Kumar, who the actress considered as ‘family’.

According to the publishers, the book is a 360-degree portrait of Sridevi and will make readers rediscover the icon. The book draws a complete portrait of Sridevi, the quintessential superstar who has an unmatched career in Indian cinema.
In the days leading up to her death anniversary, daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor have been taking to their social media handles to share some notes of love, remembering their late mother.
According to reports, the family even got together on Thursday to have a special puja for the late star.
Sridevi, passed away at the age of 54 in 2018, in her hotel room in Dubai. The actress’s death was ruled as ‘accidental drowning’.
In a career spanning over 5 decades, Sridevi worked in over 300 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. She made her Bollywood debut in 1978 as a lead actor in “Solva Sawan”.
Over the years, she has been conferred with several awards, including the Padma Shri, National Film Award and Filmfare awards.
