Boney Kapoor reached the national capital last night to shoot for the remaining portions of Luv Ranjan’s untitled next that stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles.

According to our source, the producer-turned-actor landed in Delhi last night. He has already completed half of Luv Ranjan’s directorial and will now be shooting for the remaining half.

This is the first time that Boney will be seen playing a full-fledged role in a film. He was seen playing a cameo last in Ak vs AK, starring Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles.

When Boney was first approached for the film, he had reportedly turned him down. The director then reached out to Arjun Kapoor and asked him to persuade his father. That is how the producer came on board for the movie.

Earlier, talking exclusively to ETimes about his experience on the sets of the film as an actor, Boney said, “As a producer, I have to look into everything. I go to the set to see if my cast and crew are comfortable. Here since I was an actor, the production was taking care of me. I was much more relieved as an actor.”

He added that when the script was being written, Luv and his team wanted the character of Ranbir’s father to be somebody like Boney Kapoor, and offered him the role. However, he initially turned it down as he was busy with his production ventures.
