Boney Kapoor: I don’t know anything about Khushi’s film with Zoya Akhtar – Times of India

News about Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor making her foray into films has been making the rounds for a long time. Word this morning made the rounds that she and Suhana Khan are expected to team up with Agastya Nanda, actor Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson and Abhishek Bachchan’s nephew, in a comic-book inspired show to be helmed by Zoya Akhtar. We spoke to Khushi’s father Boney Kapoor who sounded surprised when we put forth the query to him. He said, “I don’t know anything about this. I don’t know what you are talking about.” In January 2021, Boney had reportedly stated that Khushi will make her acting debut, but he had also mentioned in his statements that he would not be the one to launch her. He had told Bombay Times, “I have the resources, but I would rather have someone else launch her because I am her father and one tends to get indulgent. You can’t afford to do that as a filmmaker and nor is it good for the actor.” To jog your memory, Khushi had been in the US for a course in acting at the New York Film Academy. And when she appeared on a chat show hosted by Neha Dhupia, she had also spoken about her dream debut, adding that she would follow Karan Johar blindly but her father would choose her co-star.
