Our Monday feed was hit by the shocking news of the sudden demise of veteran actor and award-winning screenwriter Shiv Subrahmanyam. The star, who was part of films and web series, including ‘2 States’, ‘Hichki, ‘Rocky Handsome’, to name a few, breathed his last on Sunday night. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta broke the news on his handle and offered his condolences to Subrahmanyam’s wife Diyya and his family. The actor’s last rites and cremation were also held this morning which saw a number of film industry folk in attendance.

We finally got the first glimpses of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding trousseau. After playing the guessing game with fans and the media, it now seems that those rumours of the two turning Sabyasachi bride and groom, were not far from the truth. ETimes got you the first glimpses of the neatly packed sherwanis arriving at Kapoor’s Vastu residence that has been undergoing a drastic makeover this past weekend with foliage, carpets and rustic furniture being brought in by the decorators.

New reports suggest that Ranbir and Alia’s wedding will be a strictly private affair with not more than just a handful of family and close friends attending the nuptials. Rumour also has it that RK and Alia are penning some beautiful love notes to read out as their vows on the big day before they take their pheras. While reports say the wedding will be a quiet affair, Subhash Ghai told our bees, “Rishi Kapoor was so happy to share with me that that they were planning his son Ranbir’s marriage with Alia in December 2020 in a big way. But he left us all with a deep grief suddenly. Today I am so happy that Ranbir and Alia are finally fulfilling his dream.”

Shahid Kapoor’s big plans for releasing his sports film ‘Jersey’ were crushed today when it was announced that the film would now release a week later than expected. It was reported that the stakeholders took the call late Sunday night. This comes at a time when Yash has already declared box office supremacy with the HUGE advance collections for ‘KGF Chapter 2’. Mandana Karimi revealed that she had an abortion while in a relationship with an ace director. The actress, who is a participant on the show, ‘Lock Upp’, revealed that she got pregnant with her boyfriend while waiting for her divorce to come through. However, after the man backed off saying he was not emotionally or mentally prepared to take this responsibility, she decided to terminate her pregnancy.
