Blue Jays’ Danny Jansen, Yimi Garcia join triple-A Buffalo on rehab assignment
Toronto Blue Jays catcher Danny Jansen and pitcher Yimi Garcia are taking another step closer to returning to action with the club.
Jansen and Garcia have joined the triple-A Buffalo Bisons on injury rehab assignments and will be active for Monday’s game, according to the team.

Jansen, 27, has been sidelined for almost a month with a fractured left pinkie finger and hit .232 with seven home runs and 13 RBI in 19 games this season.
Garcia, 31, hasn’t played since June 21 due to a sore back. The right-handed reliever has a 1-3 record with a 3.42 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 26 strikeouts in 28 appearances.
