Darche played 250 career NHL games across nine seasons between 2000 and 2012, suiting up for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators, San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning. The 45-year-old has been Tampa Bay’s Director of Hockey Operations since May 2019.

Greenberg was promoted to the Cubs’ assistant general manager position before the 2021 MLB season. According to Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune, Greenberg was the fifth person — but first outside of the NHL — to interview for the Blackhawks GM post.
