Birthday special: When Priyanka Chopra revealed she is a complete homebody and hates ‘partying’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

One of the best known actors around the globe, Priyanka Chopra turns 41 today. The actor, who has carved a niche for herself both in Bollywood and Hollywood, had once expressed that she is a complete homebird, who loves nothing more than spending time with her family.

In a 2004 interview with Filmfare, PC was quizzed about three unknown facts about herself. She started by saying that she is a completely homebody and happiest with her family.

She went on to add that when she was inManali for a 40-day schedule, her entire khandan (family) from Ambala and Chandigarh visited her. They rented out a bungalow and had a gala family reunion.
She also went on to say that she hates partying, and that she is from a conservative background, and people may not accept that because of what she does in movies. However, she was quick to clarify that movies are a job and she is very different from public perception that people have. She went on to say that she is not the Priyanka which people saw in Andaaz.
PC also revealed that she loves poetry, both English and Urdu. Her favourite poets are Emily Dickinson, Faiz Sahab and Ghalib.
Coming to her personal life, Priyanka Chopra and husband, Nick Jonas enjoyed their parents’ day out at the Wimbledon Women’s Final last week. Dressed to the nines, the star-couple took their place in the ‘Royal Box’ to watch Marketa Vondrousova go up against Ons Jabeur for the grand slam title.
Taking to their social media handles, PC and Nick shared selfies and a bunch of photos from their seats. Sharing the photos on his handle, Nick wrote, “Beautiful day out at the tennis with my (heart). Such an honour to sit in the Royal box and watch @marketavondrousova win her first grand slam.”

Work wise Priyanka, who was shooting for her film ‘Heads of State’, lent her support to the ongoing Hollywood writers and actors’ strike. “I stand with my union and colleagues. In solidarity, we build a better tomorrow,” she captioned the photo.
