‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ box office collection Day 23: Kartik Aaryan’s film inches closer to Rs 150 crore – Times of India

Despite Akshay Kumar’s latest release ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, Kartik Aaryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ continues to rake in the moolah at the ticket windows. Anees Bazmee’s directorial witnessed an excellent growth of 60% on its third Saturday. The film went on to collect around Rs 4.50 crore nett which takes the film’s total collection to Rs 147 crore nett plus, reports Boxofficeindia. The film is unaffected by ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ and is racing it’s way to the coveted 150 crore club.

At the end of third week, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ will also cross the 50 crore nett mark in Mumbai and the 40 crore nett mark in Delhi/UP. It has clearly turned out to be the biggest HIT Hindi film in the post pandemic times, although it may not beat the business of ‘Sooryavanshi’.

The film also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu and is packed with thrilling horror elements and an equal dose of humour. Stressing on the need for comedy narratives, Anees Bazmee had told BT, “Aaj kal log hamesha tension mein hotay hai, pareshan hai, dukhi hai. I look around and feel log hasna bhool gaye hai. If my film can make them forget about their worries for even 2 hours, I consider myself fortunate. Zindagi bohot Chhoti hai aur haste hue guzarni chahiye. Even on set, you will never find me all serious. My laughter is the loudest and it’s all picnic like vibe. I prefer that kind of atmosphere on my set — positive and lighthearted.”
