Best NRFI and YRFI bets today (Back Framber Valdez)
We have another great slate of MLB games set on Monday, with teams across both leagues starting a new series.
The means we have a fresh slate of matchups to target for NRFI and YRFI bets.
If you don’t know, NRFI and YRFI bets are simply bets on the 1st inning. If you bet on the NRFI, you’re cheering for a scoreless first frame. If you’re on the YRFI, you’re cheering for at least one run being scored.
Let’s dive into my favorite NRFI and YRFI bet for Monday’s action.
NRFI and YRFI bets for Monday, April 10
- Astros/Pirates NRFI (-135)
- Red/Braves YRFI (-105)
Astros/Pirates NRFI (-135)
Despite being the defending World Series champs, the Houston Astros have struggled on offense in the 1st inning so far this season. They’re averaging only 0.3 runs per 1st inning this season, which ranks 23rd in the Majors. The Pirates are a bit better in that area, averaging 0.56.
Both starting pitchers in this game have got off to strong starts. Framber Valdez sports a 1.50 ERA in two starts and Roansy Contreras enters the start with a 1.59 ERA.
I love the NRFI in this spot.
Red/Braves YRFI (-105)
The Cincinnati Reds 1st inning offense is one of the most surprising stats you’ll find across the Majors today. Entering tonight’s game, the Reds rank second in 1st inning runs per game coming in at 1.13.
Bryce Elder gets the start for the Braves. He pitched 6.0 scoreless innings in his first start of the year, but he’ll regress in this area soon.
I think we’ll see at least one first inning run in this National League showdown.
