Besharam Rang: Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone sizzle in ‘Pathaan’ song; actor says ‘beauty is an attitude’ – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan got the week off to a sizzling start by dropping the first song from ‘Pathaan’, which sees Deepika Padukone in a never-before-seen avatar. “Seeing her, you know…beauty is an attitude….#BesharamRang song is here,” wrote SRK as he shared a teaser of the song with the link to the YouTube link.

The song, choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant sees DP twerking, twirling and joining SRK for a salsa routine while scorching up the Spanish coast. While the beauty rocks a number of sultry bikinis and a metallic gold swimsuit, Shah Rukh commands equal attention by putting his chiselled abs on full display.

SRK, who plays a gun-toting spy in ‘Pathaan’, is presented as the king of cool in the song.

Talking about DP’s glam-goddess avatar in the film’s song, director Siddharth Anand said, “For Besharam Rang, when she is in a visually stunning coastal town of Europe, dancing with Shah Rukh Khan, we decided to just maximise how hot DP could look on screen! And the result will be unveiled when you see this amazing song.”

Speaking about Shah Rukh’s prep for the same, he said “SRK will be seen letting his hair down with Deepika in this party track of the season. He has pushed his body for the film to be his fittest best and has also flaunted an eight pack in this song as well which should get his fans very excited to see their idol looking the way he is in ‘Pathaan'”.

About the pairing of SRK and Deepika, Anand said, “His chemistry with Deepika in the song is infectious. They are considered one of the all-time biggest on-screen jodis in the history of Hindi cinema, given their massive blockbusters, and this song presents them to their fans and audiences in a way that they have never seen before on screen.”

The director also said that the makers wanted to present Deepika in her most glamorous avatar yet in the upcoming actioner. “Deepika Padukone, apart from being a fantastic actor who has grown with each film, is also the hottest actress of our country. Casting her for the character in the film was as organic as it could get. She can be vulnerable and yet very, very sexy just effortlessly,” he said.

‘Pathaan’ which also stars John Abraham as the antagonist, releases on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
