Cincinnati Bengals running back has reportedly agreed to a pay cut in order to stay with the team for the upcoming season.

Mixon’s agent, Peter Schaeffer, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the team agreed to a restructured deal to keep him for the upcoming season.

The running back had a $9.4million non-guaranteed base salary for this upcoming season and had a cap hit of roughly $12.8m.

It was reported back in April that Mixon might be cut from the team if he did not agree to a pay cut.

Mixon has been in Cincinnati for all of his six years in the NFL, earning one Pro-Bowl selection in 2021.
