Behind a Gorgeous Lavender Field, Loro Piana Hosted an Intimate Dinner

Last spring, Loro Piana released its first dining collection, Art de la Table, and last weekend, a host of guests were invited to Chef Yann Nury’s farmhouse on Shelter Island to feast on the luxurious tabletop collection alfresco. The cause for celebration? Loro Piana’s Summer Resort 2023 collection.

The line features travel luxe items including a vintage-inspired floral print that was recast on the dining table’s runner and printed on fans—which came in handy for swatting the enchanting fireflies that lit up the night. As expected with all things Loro Piana, the latest collection incorporates the finest materials, from cashmere ponchos to silk pareos. Pieces were also on display on the lucky guests. Alessandra Brawn wore a comfortable yet elegantly linen skirt while posing for pictures next to her partner Will Arnett. Vanessa Fuchs arrived in the linen and silk Blossom tote bag.

Before sitting down for a three-course meal in the backyard of the farmhouse, which is nestled by more than 200 acres of protected land, guests were serenaded by an acoustic performance in front the lavender field. And the party didn’t stop once the last bite of honey cake dessert was served—on a fine set of Loro Piana stripe-trimmed, bone porcelain plates, by the way. The celebrations went on late into the night with cocktails being served in a modern luxe barn by the pool.
