‘Been years trying to catch big fish’: Two Oceans men’s winner Mudzinganyama

JOHANNESBURG – Two Oceans Marathon’s men’s winner, Givemore Mudzinganyama said he had been working hard at this win for a long time.
The Zimbabwean national crossed the finish line on Saturday in a time of 3:09:56, in what was his maiden Two Oceans win.
Hundreds of runners tackled the race on Saturday, making their way around the Cape Peninsula.
Mudzinganyama was followed home by South Africans, Dan Matshailwe and Nkosikhona Mhlakwana, who clinched the second and third spots, respectively.
“It’s been many years trying to catch big fish,” he said in a tweet after the race.

Meanwhile, Gerda Steyn won the women’s race of the ultra marathon. This was the fourth time she has won the event and she set a new race and personal record.
