Azealia Banks Sung, The Slaysians Were Out, and More Moments Inside the Best NYFW After-Parties
Home to a mix of well-established labels such as Proenza Schouler and Thom Browne and some of fashion’s buzziest up-and-coming names, including Theophilio and LaQuan Smith, not a single New York Fashion Week season passes without a few memorable moments (for starters, the animal masks at Collina Strada?). But for a select few with access to the week’s most exclusive after-parties, the celebration brewing at the shows is only the beginning—the rest goes well into 3 or 4 in the morning.
Hosted by the designers, the nightcaps bring out stars such as Natasha Lyonne, industry insiders such as Jeremy O. Harris, and the most sought-after DJs in (or flown into) town. Open bars are a near guarantee, and oftentimes, so are dance floors amid high-rise views of the city. And without fail, attendees show up in their best outfits.
Ahead, here’s a look inside the best afterparties of the season.

Prabal Gurung Took on The Blond
On and off the runway, anything put together by Prabal Gurung comes with over-the-top glamour. After his show, the designer whisked friends of the brand, such as EJ Johnson, Dorothy Wang, and Tina Leung, away to The Blond, the stylish downtown bar at the 11 Howard hotel, where they enjoyed an open Penfolds wine bar and, taking their pick between the dancefloor or the lounge’s plush couches, partied to tunes from Mazurbate and Mia Moretti well past midnight.
