Ayushmann Khurrana responds to a fan who dismissed Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan but praised An Action Hero – Times of India
A Twitter user recently watched An Action Hero and praised the film while dismissing Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan. Ayushmann took notice of it and responded to the tweet as an SRK fan.
“Screw Pathan, watch Action Hero on Netflix! Story, dialogues, background music, the subtle middle finger shown to Indian news channels and their crass reporting, @ayushmannk has KILLED it! But my fav was the guy mimicking Arnab,” read the tweet.
To this, Ayushmann replied, “Thanks for loving An Action Hero. Could’ve avoided the first line though I’m an SRKian!” Later, the user wrote back to him and said, “Same! I (love) SRK. But sometimes I don’t like the story as much as I love the star.”

Ayushmann has often expressed his fondness towards Shah Rukh Khan and how he has been a avid fan of the superstar. Ahead of the release of An Action Hero, Ayushmann was seen looking at Mannat through the sunroof of his car and written, “Mannat se guzar raha tha. Toh ek mannat maang li (was passing by Mannat, so I made a wish). An Action Hero, 2nd December….”
Directed by debutant Anirudh Iyer, Ayushmann’s film opened to rich reviews upon its December 2 release but fell short at the box office. Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 40 crore, the movie was able to raise around Rs 16 crore at the ticket window.
