‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ box-office collection day 8: The James Cameron film crosses 200-crore at the Indian box-office – Times of India
The film had great collections from the south and while everyone thought the collections will drop by the end of the week, they’ve continued to remain strong. By the end of thursday, the film had collected almost 190 crore nett at the Indian box-office as per boxofficeindia.com. The film was headed towards the 200crore mark and it all depended on its Friday collections.
The friday collections were important to declare the film a blockbuster. And now, as per Avatar’s youtube channel, the film has crossed 200 crore mark after adding its Friday collection. The trade predicts that the film will be inching close to even 300 crore as it will have two back-to-back holiday weekends. ‘Avatar 2’ has largely done a great business in the Nizam/Andhra territory from where it collected about 45 crore. On its eighth day, that is Friday, ‘Avatar 2’ a busines between 13-14 crore.
One thought that the footfalls of ‘Avatar 2’ will drop with the release of ‘Cirkus’ this week but this Rohit Shetty film is trending below ‘Avatar’. Hence, even it is expected to get big numbers even in its second weekend.
