Going by the box office predictions, the movie is expected to cross the Rs 300 crore nett mark on its third Saturday.

The film earned Rs 189.50 crore in its first week and Rs 97.75 crore in its second week at the box office.

Once the film enters the Rs 300 crore club, it will begin chasing the record set by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ in 2019 which is estimated at around Rs 367 crore nett.

‘Avatar: The Way Of Water’ is currently on course to become the highest-grossing Hollywood release in India, but that will depend on the film’s ability to maintain its collection on Monday, which will be the first non-holiday week.

The film fared very well in the South sectors which helped boost its overall collections. According to reports, the film raked in over Rs 100 crore just from the South India markets. The failure of the Ranveer Singh starter ‘Cirkus’ also helped the film enjoy an undisputed run at the ticket windows.

at the global box office, the film has crossed the 1 billion mark, but it still has to beat the $2.8 billion record set by ‘Avatar’ after multiple re-releases.
