Aussie rising star Josh Giddey is demanding some serious attention in the NBA as he delivered a career-best performance.
Aussie NBA rookie Josh Giddey has put in his best career game in the NBA during his team’s loss to Philadelphia on Monday.
The 19-year-old had 19 points and wowed with some moments of court-vision wizardry in a performance that caught the attention of NBA fans around the league.
The former Adelaide 36ers talent also had eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals, while shooting eight of 13 from the field as the Thunder’s second-top scorer.

It was a performance that showed exactly why Oklahoma City took him with the No. 6 draft pick earlier this year.
He showed finesse at times and then showed he has some serious heart when taking a hard tumble late in the game when he and Sixers superstar Joel Embiid made heavy contact in the paint.
Giddey got back to his feet and dropped two free throws.
“You can see why the Thunder are very excited about him, his potential is off the charts right now. He does so many things well for such a young player, and the maturity he has in his game,” Thunder commentator Michael Cage said.
It was the first time Giddey had scored in double figures.
He has been generating some serious hype ever since his debut last week, where he put up 10 rebounds — the most rebounds made by a Thunder player on debut.
Shai-Gilgeous Alexander was excellent for the Thunder with a team-high 29 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Thunder, who eventually fell short 115-103.
The 76ers were led by Seth Curry (28 points) Joel Embiid (22 points). Aussie Matisse Thybulle had three points in his 20 minutes on the floor.
