AUS W vs IND W: Harleen Deol dedicates ‘oh haseena zulfo vali’ to Smriti Mandhana, gets EPIC response

Indian batter Smriti Mandhana added another milestone to her cap after she became the first Indian woman to score a century in the Pink Ball Test against Australia.

The ton came on Day 2 in Queensland as Mandhana helped put the visitors in a strong position. The opener, who had resumed the next day with her overnight score of 80 not out, brought up her maiden Test century with a boundary.

Smriti had reached the triple-figure mark in the 52nd over of the innings after smashing two fours off Ellyse Perry. She, however, had to walk back for 127 in 216 balls after losing her wicket to Ashleigh Gardner.

The achievement had earned her praises from across the globe, but one particular tweet grabbed the attention of fans. The southpaw, who was trending on social media saw fellow Indian cricket Harleen Kaur Deol indulge with her teammate in some banter.

Deol posted a photo of Mandhana celebrating her century and captioned it, “Alexa please play: “oh haseena zulfo vali!!!” @mandhana_smriti.”

While fans loved the caption, it was the reply Mandhana gave back that got netizens talking. The Indian batter who is known for her witty posts responded to Deol in the same manner. “Alexa please put @imharleenDeol on mute”.

Soon the tweet received a lot of reactions from fans, most of them celebrating Mandhana performance and some enjoying the banter between the two cricketers.
