Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul get hitched; Suniel Shetty and Ahan distribute sweets to the paps! – Times of India ►

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul kickstarted the wedding season this year with their low-key shaadi! The couple tied the knot in Khandala today, at Suniel Shetty’s palatial bungalow Jahan. ETimes had exclusively reported that the wedding pheras will take place at 4:15 pm and we have learnt that the couple stuck to the muhurat time perfectly.
Confirming the same, Suniel Shetty stated, “It was a beautiful function and a close one. The wedding is officially done and I have become the father-in-law now. Confirming the reception, he added, “I think we will definitely plan something post the IPL.” When asked about playing the role of a father-in-law, Suniel Shetty stated, “I think the role is not new, I am still the father. For me my son is coming home, the ‘in-law’ chakkar should be out. I can play the role of a father well. Thank you so much everyone for the wishes.”

KL Rahul and his squad arrived at the wedding venue post 2pm and the baraat was welcomed with Bollywood hits that roared through ‘Jahan’. A grand mandap decorated with pristine white flowers was set up in the lawn area of the bungalow where the wedding rituals took place. ETimes had exclusively revealed that Suniel Shetty and Mana Shetty were personally looking into the decorations, food and wedding arrangements.

Ahead of the wedding, Athiya and KL Rahul hosted a sangeet night for their guests. Suniel and Mana, along with Athiya’s besties Krishna Shroff and Akansha Ranjan took over the dance floor. ETimes paps had also spotted Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor at the cocktail night. After meeting through common friends, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul went on to date for four years.

Ajay Devgn was one of the first ones to wish the couple a happy marriage. He had tweeted, “Congratulations to my dear friends @SunielVShetty & #ManaShetty for their daughter @theathiyashetty ’s marriage to @klrahul . Here’s wishing the young couple a blissful married life. And, Anna, here’s a special shout-out to you on this auspicious occasion.”
