Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has hit out at TV host in Brazil after he posted a video seemingly objectifying his girlfriend and footballer Alisha Lehmann.
Milton Neves, a 71-year-old presenter, sparked fury from Luiz as he tweeted a clip of Lehmann celebrating a goal by jumping and turning her back.
The video, shared on social media, appears to zoom in on her backside during a goal celebration and ends with the question: ‘Without rewinding the video what number was on her shirt?’
Neves posted the video with the caption ‘watch and comment’, prompting an angry retort from Luiz. He has since deleted the Tweet.
The Brazilian star – who confirmed earlier this year that he was in a relationship with Lehmann, a key member of Villa’s women’s team – slammed Neves as ‘disrespectful’.
‘You’re old, years in soccer and you post a video that does not respect women’s soccer or the player herself, who is also my girlfriend,’ Luiz said on Twitter.

It is not the first time one of Neves’ comments has been met with a backlash, with the Brazilian journalist known for his controversial remarks.
Neves has 2.2million followers on Twitter. He is a journalist and presenter for radio and TV stations Grupo Bandeirantes in Brazil.
The video clip in question was taken from Aston Villa’s 4-3 win over Manchester City on the opening weekend of the new Women’s Super League season, in which Lehmann opened the scoring.
Luiz and Lehmann’s relationship emerged in November of last year after she uploaded a picture of the two of them to her Instagram story.
Lehmann, 23, plays as a forward for the women’s team and is also a Switzerland international. She joined Villa last summer from West Ham.

She was previously in a relationship with PSG’s Ramona Bachmann, who also plays for the Switzerland team, before the pair split last year.
They were even featured in a BBC Three documentary together in 2019 and spoke about the dynamic of playing for rival teams in the same league as Bachmann played for Chelsea between 2017 and 2020.
Luiz, 24, has been a Villa player since 2019 and is a Brazil international. He was the subject of a £35m bid from Arsenal on transfer deadline day earlier this month.
He has endured a mixed start to the campaign, playing more of a bit-part role under boss Steven Gerrard.
Lehmann scored in Villa’s 4-3 win over Manchester City on the opening day of the Women’s Super League season and played 45 minutes in her side’s 2-0 victory against Leicester on Sunday.
