As promised, Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor perform at Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani’s sangeet ceremony – Deets inside – Times of India

Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot with the love of his life, Kiara Advani at Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan on February 7 with his close friends and family in attendance. The couple also celebrated pre-wedding festivities like haldi, mehendi and sangeet ceremony.
Karan Johar and Shahid Kapoor, who was amongst the guests at the wedding, reportedly performed at the fun-filled musical ceremony. On one of the episodes of Koffee With Karan 8, Karan and Shahid had jokingly told Kiara that they would perform at her wedding on ‘Dola Re Dola’ together. While they seem to have kept their promise, they didn’t groove on the ‘Devdas’ song but instead shook a leg to Sidharth’s viral song with Katrina Kaif, ‘Kaala Chashma’.

A report in India Today also stated that the sangeet was held amidst utmost excitement with the actor himself joining Kiara’s brother Mishaal on stage during his performance. Mishaal is a rapper, composer and music director who was reported to have prepared a song medley for his sis. The soon-to-be bride was blushing throughout the event, especially when songs from ‘Shershaah’ were played.

Not only this, Hari and Sukhmani were also invited in for the musical night. The duo were earlier in the news for lighting up the atmosphere at Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal’s lavish wedding at a fort resort in Rajasthan. They are reported to have sung a mix of English and Punjabi songs last night.

The couple will be taking a private jet from Jaisalmer on February 8 and go to Sidharth’s home in Delhi. They will host a reception on February 9 for their close friends and relatives. They will be back in Mumbai on February 10 to host a grand reception for their industry friends on February 12.
