Laine is second on the Blue Jackets in scoring with 52 points (22 goals, 30 assists) in 55 games this season.
Laine could very well be done for the season as the Blue Jackets are last in the NHL standings with their final game on April 14.
Laine signed a four-year, $34.8-million extension last off-season.
Boston Bruins
Bruins forward A.J. Greer will have a hearing for cross-checking Montreal Canadiens forward Mike Hoffman on Thursday, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced.
Greer was given a five-minute major and game misconduct for cross-checking Hoffman in the face in the first period.
Greer has five goals and six assists in 52 games this season.
