Around the NHL: Are Maple Leafs swapping Liljegren for Holl?
The Toronto Maple Leafs appear poised to make some changes to their lineup for Game 6. At least, from reading the tea leaves from the morning skate, that would seem to be the case.
Sportsnet’s Luke Fox reported that defenceman Justin Holl attended the optional skate on Saturday, while fellow blue-liner Timothy Liljegren, who has yet to play in Toronto’s first-round series, did not.
Hockey players are creatures of habit. Taking the skate would seem to indicate Holl is not going to play tonight, with Liljegren potentially taking his spot. Both are right-handed shots.

The Tampa Bay Lightning look like they will ice the same lineup on Saturday that they used in their Game 5 victory in Toronto.
Tanner Jeannot is unlikely to re-enter the lineup for Game 6, according to Sportsnet’s Luke Fox, having not played on Thursday for an undisclosed reason.

Obtained from the Nashville Predators on Feb. 26 for Cal Foote and five draft picks — including a first-rounder in 2025 — Jeannot has zero points in three playoff games this year.
Forward Michael Eyssimont, who scored in Game 5, will likely play in place of Jeannot.
Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pittsburgh Penguins re-signed forward Alex Nylander to a one-year, $775,000 contract on Saturday.
Nylander, who was set to become a restricted free agent, had one goal and one assist in nine games with the Penguins this season.
He also had 50 points (25 goals and 25 assists) in 55 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.
The 25-year-old Nylander was traded to the Penguins from the Chicago Blackhawks on Jan. 5, 2022, for Sam Lafferty.
