Arjun Kapoor opens up about films being boycotted on social media; says industry people made a mistake by being silent – Times of India

Arjun Kapoor recently opened up about Bollywood films being boycotted by trolls on social media. The actor also added that people in the industry need to come together to end this trend.

According to Arjun, they made a mistake by being silent about it. While they were maintaining their dignity by being silent about it, people started taking advantage of that. The actor added that all this while people in the industry have been thinking that their work will speak for them. However, people have made this a habit now.

Elaborating further, Arjun added that the industry people need to come together and do something about it because what people write about them or the hashtags that trend, are far away from reality. When we do films that do well at the box office, then at that time people like them not because of their surnames but because of the film. However, this has started happening a lot now and it is unfair, Arjun told Bollywood Hungama in an interview.

Arjun also went on to say that people have been tossing mud on them for years now. The people in the industry think their perception will change after the release of the film. However, it doesn’t happen.

Arjun was last seen in Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain Returns’ which also starred John Abraham, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria. Next, he has films like, ‘Kuttey’ and ‘The Lady Killer’ in his pipeline.
