Are ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ stars Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor reuniting for remake of THIS David Dhawan movie? – Times of India

In a conversation with a news portal, Varun was asked which remake of Anil Kapoor starrer he would like to be a part of. While Varun took a few movie names, Anil also suggested a few. Later they both decided that they both should star together in the remake of ‘Deewana Mastana’ which incidentally was directed by none other than David Dhawan. The actors even said that they wouldn’t even need to ask the director about it. According to them, if he comes to know that they want to do it, he will give the go-ahead and make it.

The original ‘Deewana Mastana’ starred Anil Kapoor, Govinda and Juhi Chawla in lead roles. The film also had a cameo by none other than Salman Khan.

Raj Mehta’s ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ also starred Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor in the lead roles. It has received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. The film has also been doing decent business at the box office.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Varun will next be seen in ‘Bhediya’ co-starring Kriti Sanon in the lead role. Anil, on the other hand, has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol.
