Apple Watch Ultra with micro-LED display may launch in 2024 – Times of India

Apple launched its first rugged smartwatch — Apple Watch Ultra last year. The smartwatch flaunts a largest display ever seen on an Apple Watch. Now a new report has surfaced online revealing some details about its successor.
As reported by MacRumours, tech analyst Jeff Pu has said that Apple may launch two notable products in 2024. The company may launch the Apple Watch with a micro-LED display and lower-priced AirPods.
In a research note for Hong Kong investment firm Haitong International Securities, Pu said that Apple may add a 2.1-inch micro-LED display in the 2024 model of Apple Watch Ultra. With the increase in the display size the company will also increase the brightness levels as compared to the Apple Watch models with OLED displays.

For those unaware, the Apple Watch Ultra comes with a price tag of Rs 89,990. The Apple Watch Ultra comes in a single 49mm titanium case— the largest display Apple has made for a Watch. Apple Watch Ultra comes with all-new bands that are designed to withstand extreme conditions as well as endurance athletes. Apple Watch Ultra’s display offers brightness levels of up to 2000 nits.
Apple Watch Ultra features improved GPS tracking. The action button gives a one-push workout mode on the Apple Watch Ultra. The action button can be customised to perform a host of functions on the Apple Watch Ultra.
Apple may also launch low-priced AirPods
The report further adds that Apple may also launch a lower-priced AirPods likely to be called ‘AirPods Lite’. The so-called AirPods Lite will compete with affordable TWS earbuds from the likes of Samsung, Jabra, Sony and Nothing.
Pu, however, did not delve out any information, such as its features or design, about the product but he said that the product is a “lower priced product” to compete with non-Apple earbuds. The report is not clear on the launch timeline.
