apple headset: Apple’s headset may come with these specialties – Times of India

The rumoured Apple AR headset was claimed to have “interchangeable lenses” and a “complex, expensive-to-build” design, by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman earlier. Now, he has more to say on the AR/VR headset which is about the customer categories the headset will cater to.
As per Gurman, there will be three key areas for which the headset is being designed–gaming, media consumption and communication–which leaves out the consumer category of audiophiles if the headset is going to be built as one with all-round performance.
“Gaming should be a strong focus of the machine, especially given that it will have multiple processors, a fan, extremely high resolution displays and its own App Store. Look for Apple to position the device as a dream for game developers. Next, media consumption. I expect Apple to work with media partners to create content that can be watched in VR on the device. Third, communications. Look for Animojis and a VR FaceTime-like experience to be the new-age Zoom.”, Gurman said in the newsletter.
Reliable tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had claimed that Apple plans to replace the iPhone totally with the new AR headset in 10 years but Gurman said that such a plan would not be possible with the first generation of headsets by the company.
As per the rumours, the headset is going to come with two main processors, two 4K micro LED displays, eye-tracking, Wi-Fi 6E,15 optical modules and some other features too.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple headset will go into production in the second quarter of 2022 and be ready for launch by the fourth quarter of the same year.
